The earth quake of Japan was accompanied by tsunami destroyed nuclear powers stations, Infrastructures ,buildings and killed more than 10,000 people.
Shrouded in death,
You struck fear in our hearts-
The absolute image of terror.
The fury of mother nature
Unleashed in full power
You came along with your deathly shadow- tsunami
The earth cried
Buildings collapsed like a tower of cards.
A strange chill descended in the air
The silence cracked open
With the racking sobs of the innocent
Torn apart by death
Were parents and children
Husbands and wives…
Some left in situations
Where life was a curse in itself
You were uninvited- yet
You barged into our lives
Leaving it in a mess
Breaking our spirits
And shattering our dreams
Pieces of which shone like the broken glass- now lying on the streets
May be it was a wake up call
To urge us to think
To build houses and offices
That can hold together
No matter how much
You make the earth shudder
Where the mothers shall never cry
Where we will know that
There will always be a tomorrow
And into the progress of humankind
We shall march together…
